Bible Passage(s): Genesis 13: 1 - 18
Memory Verse: “After Lot was gone, the Lord said to Abram,‘‘Look as far as you can see in every direction. I am going to give all this land to you and your offspring’’ as a permanent possession. And I am going to give you so many descendants that, like dust, they cannot be counted! Take a walk in every direction and explore the new possessions I am giving you." Genesis 13: 14 – 17 NLT
When Abraham and his nephew Lot returned from Egypt on their way back to Canaan, the Bible recorded that the land was not large enough to support their livestock with both of them living close together. This is so because they both had too many livestock. There were always arguments between their herdsmen. Therefore Abram talked this over with his nephew, Lot that these arguments should stop! They agreed to separate and go in different directions to allow for peace to reign.

Bible Passage(s): Genesis 13: 1 - 18
Bible Passage(s): Acts 13: 1 - 4
Memory Verse: “As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said,
Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them. And when they had fasted and prayed, and laid their hands on them, they sent them away." Acts 13: 2-3
People of God have fasted for various reasons throughout history. Some of the reasons include repentance, mourning and freedom for a whole nation or people.
What lessons can we learn from the New Testament?
1) Anna fasted in worship to God in expectation of the Messiah (Luke2:37). The early believers also fasted in the act of worship (Acts13:2). We can decide to fast in worship of God and to be in His presence and enjoy intimacy with God without distractions. Acts 13:2 tells us that the Apostles gathered, ministering to the Lord as they fasted. No wonder they could hear instructions from the Holy Ghost
Bible Passage(s): 1 Samuel 1: 1 - 18
Memory Verse: “Even so the tongue is a little member, and boasts great things. See, how great a forest a little fire kindles! And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity. The tongue is so set among our members that it defiles the whole body, and sets on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire by hell." James 3: 5 - 6
Our Bible passage for this month is the story of a young Amalekite, who came from the camp of King Saul at the battle against the Philistines. Having known about the death of King Saul and his son Jonathan on Mount Gilboa, he came to give David the ‘good news’, expecting David to be happy to hear the news of the death of King Saul, his enemy. He compounded his case by claiming that he was the one who killed King Saul, ostensibly thinking that David will commend and reward him for doing so. Recall that Saul had pursued David, in order to kill him and thereby prevent his ascension to the throne of Israel, which God had already anointed him for.
Bible Passage(s): Joshua 4: 19-24
Memory Verse: “That all the people of the earth might know the hand of the Lord, that it is mighty: that ye might fear the Lord your God for ever." Joshua 4: 24
The reference Bible passage for the Message of Grace for this month is from the concluding part of the story of how the children of Israel were able to cross over River Jordan on the way to their promised land. The story, which started in Chapter 3, is a gripping story of how God intervenes in the affairs of the lives of His people.

Bible Passage(s): Deuteronomy 8: 11-18
Memory Verse: “You shall remember the LORD your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth that He may confirm his covenant that He swore to your fathers, as it is this day." Deuteronomy 8: 18
Last month, we spoke about Abundance and presented preconditions for us to come into and experience it. We did say that ‘’Abundance is when we have all things in surplus and plenty. It is not just about money or the material things of life, but an all-encompassing thing that fills our lives with superlative provisions of God in all its ramifications.’’ We went on to lay out prescriptions for us to experience and remain in the abundance that the Lord our God has promised to bring into our lives this year.
This month, we want to go a little further by reminding ourselves that our abundance does not consist of our works of piety or that we actually deserve it, but that it is the grace of God.

Bible Passage(s): Deuteronomy 28: 1 - 14
Memory Verse: “Now it shall come to pass, if you diligently obey the voice of the Lord your God, to observe carefully all His commandments which I command you today, that the Lord your God will set you high above all nations of the earth. 2 And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, because you obey the voice of the Lord your God." Deuteronomy 28: 1 - 2
Abundance is when we have all things in surplus and plenty. It is not just about money or the material things of life, but an all-encompassing thing that fills our lives with superlative provisions of God in all its ramifications.

Bible Passage(s): 2 Kings 7: 1 - 20
Memory Verse: "Then they said one to another, We do not well: this day is a day of good tidings and we hold our peace: if we tarry till the morning light, some mischief will come upon us: now therefore come, that we may go and tell the king’s household." 2 Kings 7:9
The year 2017 is our year of Good News! It is a year in which we will go beyond our borders to obtain and gain access to our abundance and breakthrough. For many years, you have been tied down, like a goat to a stake, not able to go beyond the length of the rope with which you were tied down. This year you will receive good news and you will break free and enter into your abundance!
The people of Samaria shut themselves inside the walls of their city.
Usually when the year comes to an end, we look back over the year to assess how the year has been; how we fared during the year and what the Lord has done for us. For me the Lord has done great things and all I have to do is to say thank you Lord.
My Message of Grace for this month is fully captured in the following song by Lyte, Henry Francis, 1793-1847.

Bible Passage: Jeremiah 18: 1 - 9
Memory Verse; ‘Then the word of the Lord came to me, saying, O house of Israel, cannot do with you as this potter? saith the Lord, Behold, as the clay is in the potter’s hand, so are ye in mine hand, O house of Israel.’ Jeremiah 18: 5 - 6
This month, the Lord wants to bring us into a new life and a new beginning. You may wonder what this means when you consider that the year 2016 is almost at an end. A new beginning? Yes a month of reformation!
The Lord says as the clay is in the potter’s (God’s) hands, so are you in mine hand to do as it pleases me. If the clay (you) was marred in the hand of the potter, he makes (reforms) it again into another vessel, as deemed good to him (God).

Bible Passage: Psalm 126
Memory Verse; "Restore our captivity, O Lord, As the stream in the South." Psalm 126:4
Independence connotes freedom. Freedom comes in different dimensions to different people and in different situations. For a person, freedom can mean being set free form bondage, slavery and debilitating situations such as sickness, being held down by satanic oppressors, ancestral and generational causes. For a nation, it can be freedom from colonial masters, from economic, political as well as social depression and bondage.
