Bible Passage(s): Genesis 1:26 – 28, 8:15 – 9:1
Memory Verse: “And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.”Genesis 1:28

After God had created all things, He created man in His own image as the epitome of all creation. The Bible says that and having created them, male and female, God blessed them and commanded them to ‘Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion … over every living thing that moves on the earth’ (Vs. 28).

Similarly after the flood had receded from surface of the earth, when all living things had perished in the flood, God remembered Noah; whom He had preserved along with his family and all the creatures that were in the ark with them, He brought them out onto dry land, and also gave the same command which He previously gave to man in Vs. 28. The Bible records in Genesis 9:1 that “…. God blessed Noah and his sons, and said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth.” From the foregoing narration, we see that God, at every new beginning giving man the mandate to be fruitful, to multiply and have dominion.

Fruitfulness is an evidence of multiplication and multiplication leads to dominion, because when you multiply you spread out, fill the land and dominate! As we come into the second month of New Beginnings, God wants us to go out and fulfill His mandate: ‘be fruitful, multiply and dominate’ in all areas of our life.

This month, you will break forth on every side and multiply in the fruits of your body and the work of your hands. The Lord will make room for you and you will be fruitful in the land (Genesis 26:22). You will have and exercise power over your domain – your area of influence and everyone who sees you will call you the blessed of the Lord. For ‘eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him, (1 Cor 2:9). God has prepared great things for you this year. Therefore take a step of faith and begin to operate your God-ordained mandate.

I charge you to go out today and indeed throughout this year, with confidence and take possession of the land, be fruitful, multiply, occupy and dominate: Rehoboth! The Lord is with you!

May the Lord bless you and keep you, May He make His face to shine upon you and be gracious unto you. May the Lord lift up His countenance upon you and give you peace, now and forevermore. Amen.

Have a wonderful month.
